Mark 16:15-18

Today’s Gospel is part of what is known as the “Longer Ending” of Mark’s Gospel. It is immediately proceeded by concise narrations of Jesus’ appearance to Mary Magdalene and to the two on the road. It concludes with Jesus’ appearance to the eleven, when he formally sends them out to continue his mission to “the whole world.”

I pray for the continued conversion of my family, friends, those who lead our country and all nations. You chose Paul, the least likely to follow you. With you anything is possible. St. Paul, pray for us.
