Luke 21: 12-19

Jesus tells his disciples that they will endure persecution and betrayal even at the hands of their relatives. At the time of trial, they are not to worry about what to say, for the Spirit will fill them with wisdom. Though they suffer, their spirits will be protected if they persevere.

Like a parent who reassures the child in his lap by saying “don’t be afraid,” you comfort and console me. I thank you, Lord.
