Bible Study Groups

At Home with the Word:

Prepare to listen to God’s word each week in a group setting using the book, “At Home with the Word.”  It contains the texts for the Sunday readings for the current Liturgical Year, the responsorial psalms, and scripture reflections with questions for study and discussion, as well as meditations on the virtues of prudence, temperance, fortitude and justice.

 

Meeting Dates:

Group 1:  Currently not meeting.

 

Group 2:  Starts again in September.

Sunday by Sunday:

Sunday by Sunday is a four-page weekly that invites adults, groups and individuals to reflect on the Sunday readings.  Sunday by Sunday features shared prayer, questions that invite the gospel into our lives, justice oriented activities, up-to-date scripture interpretation and the gospel in reader parts that draw adults into dialog with Jesus and one another.  At. St. Pius X Parish, members gather together on Sunday to discuss the Sunday reading using the Sunday by Sunday booklet as a guide.

 

Meeting Dates:

Sundays, 9:00 am in the Parish Office dining room use side door.

Time Apart:

The Little Rock Scripture Study is designed to bring people to a greater understanding of the Bible, an awareness of God’s living presence in Sacred Scripture and an appreciation of how the Bible can be applied to daily life.  Parishioners gather to meditate and reflect on various books from the Bible using the Little Rock Scripture Series as a guide. 

 

Meeting Dates:

Thursdays, 6:30 pm in the Parish Office conference room.
